"It works fine most of the…"
It works fine most of the time, but it does randomly drop here and there. Not a huge deal, but it’s a little frustrating because you’d think that part would’ve been sorted out before release

"Setup was surprisingly painless"
I got it set up quickly because the docs were actually clear and written in a way that didn’t feel confusing or overly technical. The tone made it easy to trust what I was doing, so I wasn’t stuck guessing my way through the process.

"Works sometimes, but it takes too much fiddling"
Geo-unblocking has been hit or miss for me. Some sites load fine and switching regions is easy enough, but other times it either doesn’t work at all or gets detected right away. I end up wasting time trying different servers or reconnecting, which gets annoying when I just want to watch something. Speeds are usually okay, not great, but usable most days. I still use it, but I expected it to be more reliable for streaming and region-locked content without so much effort.

"Good security options, just a little tucked away"
I like that ControlD has solid account security features, like 2FA and controls for logins and sessions. It made me feel a bit better using it, because... yeah, DNS settings are definitely not something I want random access to.

The only reason I’d give it 4 stars is that a few of those options took me a little while to find in the dashboard. Not a huge issue, but I do think they could be a bit more obvious. Overall though, I’m happy with it

"Pretty easy even for a non-techy person"
I’m not really a tech person, so I was expecting this to be a whole thing, but it was simple. I picked the profile, changed the DNS on my router, and then it just, well, it just started working. I did have to go back and double check one step because I wasn’t totally sure, but the guide actually made sense. Been using it for a few days now and so far, no weird issues or anything.

I really like how many custom rules I can set up with this. It took me a little bit to get everything configured, but once I did, it worked just fine for me :)

"Solid speeds and no slowdowns"
I’ve been using ControlD for a while now and, honestly, let me start that again, it’s been really solid. Pages load quickly, and I haven’t noticed any slowdowns while streaming or just browsing around. Happy with it so far.

It works well on my devices, so no real complaints there. The router setup was kinda messy though and took more effort than I expected. Not terrible, but Definitely not the smoothest setup experience.

"Ive mostly been using Control D..."
Ive mostly been using Control D for the activity logs, and theyve been more useful than I expected. Its really easy to check what got blocked and the reason behind it, which makes sorting out random website issues a lot less frustrating. The UI isnt perfect, but overall it works well for what I need.

"Flexible and worth the learning curve"
I’ve been using Control D for a while now, it’s packed with way more than I expected. I’m picky about tools I stick with, especially when it comes to privacy and setup options, and this one meets my personal standard. The profiles, rules, custom DNS settings, and device setup options are all there. It took me a little time to figure everything out, but once it clicked, it became really useful and surprisingly flexible

It’s been working fine with Netflix for me, no real issues there. Prime was a little different, though... I did have to switch servers once to get it going, but after that it worked okay.

"ControlD feels private and just works"
I’ve been liking ControlD mostly because of the logging settings. You can turn logs off completely or just keep the stuff you actually need, which is nice. I don’t want no extra data hanging around if it doesn’t have to be there. Compared to other DNS services I’ve tried, it feels a lot more private, and it’s been working fine without any fuss.

"Pretty much what I expected: useful, but kinda basic"
I mainly use ControlD for the query analytics, and it’s about what I figured it would be. It’s helpful for seeing what’s getting blocked and which devices are making requests, which kind of confirms why I wanted it in the first place. That said, I already had a feeling the analytics might be a little basic, and yeah, digging through older activity can be a bit annoying. It works fine overall, but I’d definitely like more filters and clearer details. Useful, just not something that blows me away.

"Updates come quickly, but it’s not flawless"
In my experience, Control D has been good about pushing updates when something breaks or when enough people ask for a change. I’ve seen a few issues get fixed not long after users brought them up, which makes it feel like someone is paying attention.
That said, I wouldn’t call it perfect. Some of the update notes feel a little too vague to me, and I’ve had to dig through the forums a couple of times to figure out what actually changed. Still, overall, I get the impression they’re listening and trying to improve things.

"Works well after a few tweaks"
Control D does a solid job blocking most adult and junk sites on my home Wi-Fi. I can't say it didn't need a little tweaking, though, since a few normal pages got blocked by mistake. But once I adjusted some rules, it’s been working fine. Overall, I’m not unhappy with it at all.

"Works well once you get it set up"
I’ve been using Control D mainly to block ads and trackers, and it’s been solid. A lot of the junk disappears and websites feel much cleaner to browse. Setup was a little fiddly at first, but after I got through it and checked the setup emails/receipt info, it pretty much just worked without me having to think about it.

"I’ve been using ControlD for a while now…"
I’ve been using ControlD for a while now, and for the most part it’s been stable. There was one small hiccup, but it got sorted quickly. i’m just a bit tired of having to keep an eye on yet another service and hope it keeps working the way it should. Overall I’m happy with it, but it’s not quite perfect yet.

"Pretty easy to find what I needed"
Found what I was looking for quickly, which I kind of expected once I saw how everything was laid out. Usually if a site is organized well from the start, the rest goes smoothly too, and so far I haven’t had any headaches.

"helpful but a little slow"
they did help me out in the end, but the replies took kind of a long time. overall it was okay, i just wish communication had been a bit faster.
